Downsizing? ...
Downsizing, or as some say "Rightsizing", is a huge decision that many of us encounter for a variety of reasons.... some are related to age and some are not. Sometimes this decision is met with gladness and anticipation and other times with reluctance and sadness.
You may be downsizing because: A desire for more freedom now or in retirement. Health issues. Empty nesting - and you don't need all that space. For financial reasons. Your family feels it would be a good solution. Philosophically you want a smaller footprint on this planet.
There are also those times when moving to a smaller space is not enough, and a move is necessary to obtain support services that are not available at home.
There is much consider, many questions to be asked and explored. If you find yourself or a loved one in this situation, or are considering such a move, we would love to have some conversation with you.

Curb Appeal >Upgrade Before You Sell
Real estate agents sometimes receive calls from homeowners asking for advice on what they should do to prepare their house to go on the market. They may have settled for living in a "less than optimal" circumstance for years, and are now going to spend money to make it nice for someone else to enjoy.
If you are considering painting, updating the kitchen, landscaping, or making any other improvements that will increase your home's re-sale value, think about making those improvements while you are still there to enjoy them. Create your own dream kitchen, master suite or spa, build an outdoor living room or restore your wood floors now. Improving your property will make your home more enjoyable, help maintain the property values in your neighborhood, and expedite the sale of your home when you are ready for a move.
