The current population stands at 2,598. Good weather and fertile soil make Dundee a perfect place for crop cultivation, and in fact, the town is rife with vineyards, plum trees, filberts, and English walnuts, which make up the major crops. It is also worth noting the extremely low crime rate in Dundee. There were no violent crimes, as reflected in the latest statistics from 2001, not even so much as an auto theft. Three burglaries and four counts of larceny were all there was to keep the local police busy in this peaceful small town.
